SUMMARY OF POSITION
Support and participate in product/process improvement and monitoring initiatives with the Revolution Mixer.
QUALIFICATIONS (education, experience, certifications, skills)
Minimum position requirements are as follows:
- High school Diploma or Equivalency Degree
- Associates Degree
- Proficient in MS Office
- Able to calculate and measure samples for creation of raw material formulations.
- Knowledge of SPC tools preferred
- Lean Manufacturing training preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably composites / chemical industry
DUTIES AND responsibilities
Position general responsibilities are as follows:
- Perform incoming inspection of raw materials using laboratory equipment (gel time testers, hardness test, viscometer, and potentiometer).
- Perform necessary in-process testing (non-destructive / destructive testing)
- Perform internal audits (Work instruction, internal quality system audits, dock audits)
- Perform out-going inspection of finished product.
- Document results of inspections on ISO approved formats.
- Compile reports indicating process quality performance.
- Assist in the development of processes and procedures to ensure that safety, quality, and productivity standards are met
- Assist in the investigations of quality problems and recommend corrective actions
- Provide technical support for and continually review processes, equipment and related operations
- Promote and use statistical and lean manufacturing tools
- Initiate corrective action requests and track until completion
- All other duties and responsibilities that are reasonably assigned by the employer or its designee
